Socio-economic Inclusion
Why This Program
To promote economic independence and personal development among young women and vulnerable single mothers by equipping them with vocational skills, providing financial assistance, offering career guidance and psychosocial support. Background and Context Rwanda has made significant progress in gender equality; however, challenges persist in achieving socio-economic inclusion for young women and single mothers. Many teen mothers face barriers in accessing education and employment opportunities, leading to cycles of poverty and dependence. Vulnerable single mothers often lack access to healthcare, vocational training, and financial resources needed to achieve self-sufficiency. Addressing these challenges, Women GAIN Rwanda bridges these gaps by supporting education, health and wellbeing, and entrepreneurship development.
